There
are times in Labour relations matters when you have to turn to the
services of legal counsel. Labour Relations is a very specialized
field and when there is a need to have an arbitration or labour
board decision reviewed for errors in law, that's when we turn to
Donald Primeau, from the firm "Pitblado."
And when it is determined that
a judicial review is warranted, our clients have the opportunity
to utilize the services of effective and experienced counsel before
the courts.
Mr. Donald Primeau
Specializing
in the areas of Labour Law, Employment Law, Personal Injury Claims
and Commercial Litigation, Don has represented Newsome & Dheilly
and their clients since 1997. Roger Dheilly and Don Primeau have
a long history of working together going back to when Roger worked
for a Union and Don worked as Counsel (with Roger) on numerous arbitrations,
court applications, strike related matters including injunctions,
defamation applications and the like.
Referring
to Don, Roger says, "If and when you need effective counsel,
in my view Don is the clear choice. He understands quickly, and
advocates the Newsome & Dheilly philosophy of "Pick your
fights." Don will not steer his clients into a fight if he
believes that the issue has no merit. However, when he determines
an avenue with which to argue a case, his preparation, dedication
and presentation in the Courts is always 100%.
Without any hesitation, we recommend Don to all
of our Clients who experience the need for Counsel. Don can be contacted
through us or directly at his office at 956-3527.
As
a bit of background, Don received his Bachelor of Laws Degree from
the University of Manitoba in 1974 and was admitted to the Manitoba
Bar in 1975. He entered private practice in 1979, and practiced
with Gallagher and Company and its' successor, Simkin Gallagher
until 1993 when he joined the Buchwald Asper Gallagher Henteleff
firm (now known as Pitblado) and became a Partner.
Don is one of the Senior Advocates in the firm.
He has represented clients in a wide variety of legal proceedings
before trial and appellate courts dealing with issues of breach
of contract; enforcement of security interests; franchising disputes;

Board; Canada Labour Board; The Winnipeg Real Estate Board; Manitoba
